The latest stable version of Revoltion is out now. 1.5-7 only brings a handful of features (but significant ones) but includes major internal improvements that should greatly reduce game lag for single and multi-player games.
I’ve posted the progress recently and you can read back about my experiments along the way in earlier posts Even More Optimal! and Beta 2 Progress
Rev:1.5-7 includes the following new gameplay changes:
- The RWR now visually indicates direction, type and approximate threat (similar to DCS F-16 RWR) instead of simple 4-point direction (actually this is in 1.5-6)
- The Walrus is able to mount the small 30mm (named 15mm in game files) turret on the front utility mount. This is probably only useful in fending off local wildlife – Originally intended to deter lightly armed infantry it takes 400 shots to kill a Seal with this gun.
Note, the HUD waypoints feature is NOT enabled due to this causing games to crash when loading saves.
Other changes are performance and optimization related.
