EW is coming to CC2 in Rev:1.5.
I’ve already posted about the impact EW might have on sensors at Electronic Warfare. This time I’ll talk about how you equip the EW pod option and what trade-offs you have to consider.
Because of the nature of the EW devices, that they are created by stripping down a virus bot module, using them will COST you THREE of these.
In “complete and default loadout” games you start with 20 so there this isn’t much of an issue at first.

When you are in the loadout screen for aircraft, for the Petrel and Albatross you will see a new extra choice:

Note the “DESTROY” text.
Fitting this item will destroy 3 virus modules.

Should you decide to remove the EW unit, you will not regain the virus bots.
I’m not entirely happy with the asthetics for this.

The big round blobby thing (the carrier flare turret) looks a bit derpy to me. I may change this.
