It’s been a long time in the background, but as with the march of progress in peace, the march of progress in war leads to new challenges and new capabilities.
Rev 1.5 will have Electronic Warfare. You will be able to use it to confuse and mislead your enemy. The final form this will take is still unclear, but this is what we have so far

You will be able to equip the Albatross and Petrel with an EW pod instead of the usual front-mounted camera or gimbal gun.

EW pods are available to all but at a cost. Electronic warfare has been present in CC2 since day 1. The Virus Bot.
Able to take over a hostile command centre, the “Robot Dog” contains some powerful electronics. The EW pod option makes use of the core transmission and data processing systems of the Virus Bot. Boston-Draziw-Dynamics have now allowed operational carriers to dismantle the Virus bot core chassis and re-purpose it’s systems into the EW pod.
Once installed, the EW pod will confuse hostile sensors, causing them to mis-identify most larger units. Carriers will be recognised as barges, barges as needlefish, Mantas will show as Albatross, Petrels as Razorbills.

We will bring you more on these developments as they become clear.

One response to “Electronic Warfare”
