A three-way large scale conflict with 12 players. Streamed and commentated by Biggles the event lasted over 3 hours.
The pre-launch chat from Biggle’s stream is a good insight into the planning and strategy that all good crews go through. Communication and strategy, particularly with logistics are just as important as skill with direct combat.
Yeah, it’s going to be a race to get to Cherenkov

The teams involved did have some amount of past experience with each other, my own crew (team 4) GRNO has fought along side and against several players on both other teams before and the pre-start voice comms recording captures that well. All teams had new and old players, familiar and new names in all crews. It was great to hear on the stream that both teams were checking their crews to see where each members strengths and preferred roles were.
Mobius of team 2 outlines the first few moves, the islands they plan to take first and what resources to deploy for them. The same kind of conversation was taking place on the GR carrier and now doubt the team 1 ship too.
It’s interesting to note that team 2 and 4 both eyed up the distant 1-Shield air island “Bedrock”, mid game saw team 4 take this via a long range remote capture as an air-production insurance move.
One thing that I know that Reapers love doing is flying really high and dropping 4 heavy bombs on you!
The match was close! Although team 4 came out on top, in both encounters with team 1 and 2 team 4 took significant damage. Each close contact engagement was probably 1-2 salvos away from the destruction of either ship.
